PartyPoker.com was once the biggest poker room on the planet, but after they pulled out of the US market they lost a considerable amount of traffic. However, they have managed to rebound and now have peak traffic of about 10,000 ring game players and 60,000 tournament players. Action in holdem, omaha, omaha hi/low, 7 card stud, and 7 card stud hi/low can be found at any hour of the day. The tournaments are run well and the prize pools are very lucrative. Sit and Go's are easier then average, and with ten person tables instead of the normal nine you find at most online card rooms the payout's better. Customer service by telephone or email is excellent.
At Party Poker you will notice a lot of aggressive players that tend to overplay their hands and continue to do so after they miss the flop. You should look to pick your battles wisely, but be aware that a pot size bet on the flop is often just a continuation bet from the pre-flop raiser and may not constitute a strong hand. If you managed to flop something with some drawing outs, you may want to call and see the turn card. If the player checks on the turn, a pot sized bet yourself may win the hand right there, or you can hope to complete your hand on the river. In general, players tend to bluff on this site more then other sites probably because they have started playing here because of the TV and radio commercials and therefore lack experience. Tight but aggressive play will win in the long run, so always keep your composure and your focus.
