Make Your Own Poker Video
Add Your Own Work to the Pro Poker School Video Library! The process is easy, fun, and your own poker video will be seen by lots of people!
Directions: How to Make Your Own Poker Video
- Get your hands on a screen capture software, like Camtasia, a very easy to use tool that records a section of your computer screen.
- Open Camtasia and click "New Screen Capture" then "Make a Capture", then click "Select Area to Record", and size the box to fit your online poker game.
- You can choose to record audio while your recording the screen. Better yet, shut it off and you can easily add the audio afterwards.
- Pause the recording on hands you fold, that way you will not have to edit it afterwards and the overall file size won't be so large.
- When you finish recording, click Stop and Save your recording.
- Camtasia will then ask you if you want to Edit your video or Record another. If you make more then one recording it is easy to combine multiple videos into one later when you choose Edit. Camtasia will ask if you for the size, leave it on the default web size of 640x480. We suggest adding audio (Voice Narration) and adding a title with your name.
- Save your Edited Project (note: your raw video recording is a different file then your Edited Project).
- When you finish editing, click "Produce Video As"
- The Production Wizard will walk you through this process. Select the check box Custom Production Settings, click Next. On the next screen, choose the recommended "SWF. Click Next. The next screen shows various design looks and output size. You don't have to change anything here, click Next. The next screen gives you some more options, it is not necessary to change anything here. Click Next. The Produce Video screen lets you name your production before you click Finish. You can also choose the checkbox to upload to FTP. You can upload to FTP now, but I would suggest doing it afterwards so you can view the output first. Click Finish. Your Video is being produced and converted to an output file. This make take some time depending on the size of your recording.
- Watch your video to make sure it came out the way you intended.
- Upload to our Youtube and email us so we can feature it on the site.
- Send us an email to let us know you have uploaded a video. We will create one of our images for it to be displayed in our library with your name on it. Your Video will be added to the Pro Poker School library as soon as possible.
Thank you! Please email us if you have any questions. If you run into any snags, find I am missing something in the directions, or have any suggestions let me know so I can smooth out the process for everyone.
You can also visit our Make Your Own Poker Video Forum. We have unlimited bandwidth and unlimited size hosting plan on our server so upload as often as you want. You can even start a new forum thread about your video to encourage discussion.
Tip: If you want to post particular hands after you have played them. Because you won't know what hand you will want to post until after it happens, the best way to do this would be to use a hand replayer (www.universalreplayer.com is free) and record the hand being played back through the replayer. The replayer also allows you to control the speed so you will be able to easily add audio to it. Hand Replayers use hand histories, so make sure your Poker Site options is set to save your hand histories automatically to your hard drive.
